Bobby Conner was a recent guest at Birmingham Bridge Christian Fellowship. One of the thoughts that was expressed during his visit has struck me and stuck with me over the past several days. Saturday, May 17th, we joined with other churches in the Irondale area for an all day praise and worship rally. This event was held at Beacon Park behind the old Walmart. There were several different churches represented by choirs, praise teams, drama teams, and dance teams. Methodists, Baptists, Charismatics, etc. came together in unity for the glory of His name. Student Ministries Bake Sale - June 22

Don’t forget that the Student Ministries will be having a bake sale on the morning of June 22 (before and after the service). In an effort to support our youth, there will be no donuts on that Sunday morning, although we will have coffee available. Please make plans to help by either baking something for the sale (have it at the church by 9:00 a.m. if possible) or by buying something from the sale or both. Since I have returned from sabbatical, I have had the honor of speaking to Debbie Gray each week to make sure she can still speak “red-neck”. We would not want anyone to return to the States and not be able to speak the language - HA! Not really but I have spoken to Debbie each week to make sure the kids and Staff at Pavilion Village are doing well. Bridge Christian Fellowship will host the Birmingham Prayer Furnace from 7:00 p.m on June 20 until midnight on June 21. Please make plans to come and be a part of the 29 hours of prayer.
